To the I&EC membership:

As a new subdivision of the Division of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, ACTS (Applied Chemical Professionals Subdivision) would like to announce the formation of the subdivision to the general membership. In doing so we would like to announce a new title for the role called “applied chemical professional”. This is more inclusive of all the roles we fill and better defines our profession.

The mission of this subdivision is to offer technical and career development programming for the Applied Chemical Practitioners and others interested in chemical technology and to nurture an applied chemical practitioner community in I&EC.

We invite all members of I&EC division to join our ranks especially those involved in the role traditionally called technician/technologist. Further, if you work with or know someone who fills this role, we encourage you to invite them to join as well.

If you would like to join now, before your membership is up for renewal, please use the enclosed form and send to ACS.

Dear John
Well, I can see this is a letter dated 2009 and we are in 2014. I like to subscribe the subdivision of applied chemical Technology. But the website here does not show any activity of the subdivision since then. Nevertheless I like to be a member and would appreciate any details about the activities
